  2. Gather + nourishCome together for a relaxed communal breakfast featuring fresh, local ingredients. There is time for coffee, conversation, and fueling the day without rushing through the morning.
  3. Go somewhereExperience the destination through nature, culture, food, or time on the water. Excursions balance discovery with an approachable challenge, and physical expectations are shared clearly in advance.
  4. Choose your paceReturn to home base for a massage, time by the pool, journaling, a nap, a quiet walk, or no plans at all. This time is intentionally open so you can recharge in the way you need.
  5. Come back togetherGather for sunset, a thoughtful meal, and conversations that unfold naturally. Some evenings may include local dining, relaxed reflection, or a comfortable night together at home base.

Somewhere warm.
Somewhere wild.

A typical retreat unfolds over five or six nights, giving the group enough time to settle in, explore the destination, and form real connections without making every day feel packed. We stay rooted in one beautiful home base, so you can unpack, get comfortable, and return to the same welcoming place each evening.

Days combine personalized fitness, memorable local excursions, shared meals, and restorative time. The setting may change, but the rhythm stays intentional: move your body, discover somewhere meaningful, slow down, and enjoy the company of a small group.

A change of place can become a threshold, where the familiar loosens and new possibilities have room to appear.

Solo is how

you leave.

TRAVELING SOLO ≠ BEING SINGLE

This experience is created for men who want to step into something independently, even if traveling alone feels unfamiliar. You may be single, partnered, divorced, widowed, a seasoned traveler, or preparing for your first passport stamp. What matters most is arriving with curiosity, kindness, and a willingness to be part of the experience.

From the first shared meal, the retreat is designed to make connection feel natural. Connection is built through presence, not pressure. There will be opportunities to move, explore, laugh, and have meaningful conversations without forced vulnerability or a need to perform. There is also room for quiet, reflection, and time on your own. You arrive independently, but you are never expected to navigate the experience alone.

The things
you're wondering.

01Who are the retreats for?+

These retreats are created for adult gay men who want an active, restorative way to travel in a small group. You may be single or partnered, an experienced traveler or taking your first independent trip. The most important qualities are curiosity, kindness, and a willingness to participate while respecting your own pace and the experience of others.

02Do I need to be single?+

No. Solo means you arrive independently. You may be single, partnered, divorced, widowed, or simply ready to travel on your own. The experience is designed so no one has to arrive with a friend or partner to feel included.

03Can I bring my partner or a friend?+

Yes. Partners and friends are welcome to attend the same retreat, but each person completes the application process individually. That helps us understand everyone joining the group and protect the small-group dynamic. You may request a shared room when room options are released.

04Where do the retreats happen?+

Planned destinations include Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Palm Springs, California; and Lamporecchio in Tuscany, Italy. Each location is selected for its combination of natural beauty, opportunities for movement, local culture, comfortable accommodations, and space to slow down.

05How long are the retreats?+

Retreats will typically last five or six nights. That gives the group time to settle in, experience the destination, and form natural connections without making the schedule feel crowded. The first Palm Springs retreat is six nights, from January 2 to 8, 2027.

06What is included?+

Every retreat includes accommodations, personal training and daily guided movement, planned group excursions, daily coffee and tea, and transportation connected to the scheduled itinerary. For Palm Springs, the package also includes dinner on arrival day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on all five full retreat days, and a farewell brunch on departure day. Transportation to and from Palm Springs is not included. Personal purchases, independent activities, optional treatments beyond the planned spa experience, and excursions outside the itinerary are at each guest’s expense.

07Are meals included?+

Yes. For the Palm Springs retreat, dinner is included on arrival day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on all five full days, along with daily coffee and tea. A farewell brunch is served before departure on January 8. Shared meals will emphasize fresh local food and relaxed dining. We will collect dietary needs before travel and explain what can be accommodated.

08Are flights included?+

No. You will arrange and pay for your own airfare and transportation to and from Palm Springs. We will provide clear arrival guidance and ask guests to arrive after 2:00 PM on January 2. Transportation connected to the planned retreat itinerary is included once the experience begins.

09How fit do I need to be?+

You do not need to train or look a certain way. Daily fitness is adapted to your personal level, with options for intensity, pace, and movement. Some excursions will require moderate physical ability, including walking on uneven ground and hiking for reasonable distances. We will share clear activity expectations before booking and discuss any limitations during your virtual conversation.

10Is this a dating or party trip?+

No. This is not designed as a dating event, singles trip, or party weekend. It is an active, restorative travel experience built around wellbeing, exploration, and genuine community. Natural connections may form, but there is no pressure or expectation.

11Will I have any time alone?+

Absolutely. Each day balances shared activities with unstructured time. You can rest by the pool, nap, journal, explore on your own, or opt out when you need space. We encourage participation while respecting that restoration looks different for everyone.

12What will a retreat cost?+

Retreat pricing is $6,000 per guest for a private room or $4,500 per guest for a shared room. The shared-room price is confirmed once a compatible roommate has also booked. A $500 deposit is applied toward the total price. Airfare, transportation to and from the retreat destination, personal purchases, independent activities, and identified exclusions are separate.

13What is the difference between a private and shared room?+

A private room gives you your own bedroom. A shared room means sharing a bedroom and bathroom with another accepted guest, but it does not mean sharing a bed. Shared rooms will be arranged with separate beds. A shared bed may be arranged only when both guests specifically request it, such as partners or a couple traveling together, and the accommodation can provide it.

14Will there be a payment plan?+

Yes. A $500 deposit secures an accepted guest’s place and is applied toward the total retreat price. Guests may pay the remaining balance all at once or follow the payment schedule provided in the retreat-specific booking agreement.

15Is there a referral program?+

Yes. Refer three men who each pay for and complete an Owa He retreat, and you will earn one complimentary future retreat with a shared-room arrangement. You may upgrade to a private room by paying the difference. Airfare, travel to and from the destination, personal expenses, independent activities, optional treatments, and outside excursions are not included. The complimentary retreat is nontransferable and subject to availability. To receive credit, your name must be entered as the referrer on each guest’s application. That application entry becomes the official referral record.

16How do I lock in my spot?+

Start by submitting the short application form. We will send you a survey, meet virtually to discuss the experience, and answer your questions. If the retreat feels right for both of us, you can choose your destination and secure your place with the required deposit.
